He was born in Havana where he graduated in the specialty of violoncello. During his student years he obtained several national prizes. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Cuba and the Orquesta Sinfónica del Gran Teatro de La Habana, institutions in which he has worked with conductors such as Leo Brower (Cuba), Jean Paul Penin (France), Yoshijaro Fukumura (Japan), among others.

He began studying Viola da Gamba in 1999 and that same year he joined the Ars Longa Early Music Ensemble of Havana, in which he worked under the direction of Joseph Cabrè (Spain), Gabriel Garrido (Argentina) and Shalev Ad-el (Israel), and with which he made numerous international tours. He participated in several recordings with this ensemble for the French company K.617, among which Nativité à Santiago de Cuba and Fiesta Criolla stand out, all of them awarded by the most important French publications.

Since 2002 she moved to Spain, studying Viola da Gamba at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla "Manuel Castillo" with Ventura Rico. He has also taken classes with important gambists and cellists such as Jordi Savall, Wieland Kuijken, Vittorio Ghielmi, Itziar Atutxa, Mercedes Ruiz and Fahmi Alqhai.

As a soloist, he has given concerts in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona or Seville (Spain), Berlin (Germany), as well as in Lyon, Pays du Mont-Blanc, Arles, Ville de Miramas or Vixouze (France). He has collaborated with groups such as ArcoTasto, Luz y Norte, Coro Nacional de España, Artilugium, Camerata Iberia, La Galanía, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla; and with soloists and conductors of the stature of Juan Carlos de Mulder, Raquel Andueza, José Hernández Pastor, Joseph Cabré, Gerard Talbot or Lambert Climent. In the world of theatre he has worked with different companies such as Compañía Nacional de Teatro Clásico, Nao d'Amores and Claroscuro; and with important actors such as José Sacristán and Blanca Portillo.
