She was born in Padrón (A Coruña) and graduated in English Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where she did the last year of her degree at Roehampton Institute of London, University of Surrey (England, United Kingdom).
She obtained the professional degree in Singing at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Salamanca, finishing her studies with the highest qualifications and obtaining the Extraordinary Prize for the End of Grade.
She is a Specialist Technician in Protocol and Communication, a Higher Technician and Auditor in Occupational Risk Prevention and a Higher Technician in Marketing.
As a writer of poetic prose, she has collaborated with her poems in several multidisciplinary exhibitions in Galicia and La Gomera and has been on the panel of the Camilo José Cela Narrative Prize in Padrón for many years.
She has worked for the private sector as Head of Integral Commercial Logistics, Marketing and Advertising, Protocol, Event Organisation and Translation and Interpreting at a professional technical level, English-Spanish and Spanish-English (commercial contracts, corporate manuals, technical documentation, correspondence, web pages and literary texts).
Mª José Couceiro Blanco, making her debut as a soloist in December 2010 with the Music Band of the Escuela Naval Militar de Marín under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Francisco García Hurtado. He has been part of the choral group Asc. Coro Liceo de Vilagarcía, under the direction of Mrs. Margarita Guerra, with which he has frequently performed as a soloist in opera and zarzuela anthologies in Galicia and Portugal. She has participated in numerous concerts and recitals as a soloist as well as in lyric productions in Galicia, Portugal and several cities in Spain, performing in concert halls such as the Auditorio de Galicia, Auditoriums of Vilagarcía de Arousa, Cambados, or Padrón among others and in the Auditorio del Liceo, CAEM, or Museo Ciudad de Salamanca, Casa de Granada in Madrid, Auditorio Príncipe Felipe de Oviedo etc, and with different musical formations such as the Orquesta Do Norte de Portugal, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta del CMU Salamanca, Banda Municipal de Santiago de Compostela, Vilagarcía or Pontevedra.
She has attended singing and vocal technique improvement courses with Montserrat Caballé, José Ferrer Serra, Rupert Damerell, Kevin Smith, Ángeles Triana, Javier San Miguel, Miro Moreira, Carlos Mena, María Bayo, Raúl Giménez, Carlos Chausson, Carmen Solís, Carmen Subrido, Francesca Roig, Wolfram Rieger or Manuel Burgueras, among others.
She has been a student for several years of the Vigo soprano Carmen Durán, a specialist in Lied, and at present she continues to receive advice from the teacher Mrs. Tatiana Sajarova Strashnova.
Interested in the dissemination of the Galician concert song, the song from the female composition (music and / or text) and the Russian song has performed numerous concerts and performances around these repertoires accompanied by repertoire artists such as Miguel Costas, Maria Forteza, Sandra Mayers and Manuel Burgueras.
Among other engagements, it is worth mentioning his participation in the Moscow Spring Becha A Cappella Festival (Russia) with the Melibea a Cappella ensemble, in three editions, obtaining the audience award (2019), in the lyrical show Zarzuela para Todos (Alba de Tormes) and in the farewell ceremony for the participants of the Talisker Athlantic Challenge in the company of the violinist Roberto Tubaro (La Gomera, Canary Islands).
Since 2017 she has been director of the Orfeón de Voces Graves de Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra).
